Newborn - 4 Month Old: Baby Gear You Actually Use

Now that Henry is past the 4 month mark (and I am somewhat out of the newborn fog) I find myself looking back at the first time parents we were just months ago and wanting to give them a hug. And a high five. And maybe a bottle of champagne. Those first few months are no joke. It’s a crazy, wonderful, emotional time. When I do take a moment to think about those tender first months, I’m so proud of us. All of us. Andrew, Myself, Henry, Otto & Clementine. We all hit the ground running, celebrated small victories, and snuggled a lot. We survived, and sometimes we made a meal. We laughed a lot and cried a lot. But mostly we just thanked God for this beautiful little boy.

Introducing Henry Arthur + Nursery Tour

On October 24th, during a full moon, Henry Arthur Capalbo decided to join our world. At that moment our lives were forever changed. No one could ever prepare me for the rush of emotions that would follow his arrival. It’s impossible to explain, and I won’t even try. I will say love took on a whole new meaning - not only for this new person, but also for my little family. Andrew and I have always felt lucky to do this life thing together, but that night took everything to another level. I remember looking at Andrew and just being so grateful for him my heart could explode. Look at this little life we created.

Decking the Halls of My Nantucket Dream Home

You know how Oprah always tells you to put things out into the universe so they are attracted back to you? Well universe, I want this house on Nantucket. That doesn't seem to be asking too much, now does it? As I've mentioned before, I love real estate. And dreamy real estate over looking the Atlantic Ocean in my favorite little town of 'Sconset on the sweetest island (that just so happens to be outfitted by all things Nantucket Looms) might be as good as it gets if you ask me. Well, I got to decorate it for Christmas during a shoot for the fabulous ladies at Nantucket Looms (they are my fav) and call it my job, and I thought I would share it with you. Welcome to my (dream) home.

Cozy Winter Weekends + Vermont Home Tour

Ok folks, I've been teasing a peek into our little Vermont cabin for an entire year, and it's about time finally live up to my word. It seems like the perfect time, because I'm joining forces with Talbots to encourage people to #sharethemoments this holiday season - and our favorite holiday moments are always the simple ones spent with each other. Bonus if we happen to be in Vermont surrounded by friends or family. So It's time to finally open the big red door to our little sanity saving getaway thanks to these gorgeous images from my new bestie, Meg, at Rodeo & Co (she's honestly amazing).

Rules of Thumb for Harvest Entertaining with Pier 1

I have such a love affair with the seasons. I suppose it's because I love how they force us to change perspective. They give me something to look forward to, to drum up nostalgia, and to build memories around. In my youth, I would have said I was a summer person through and through, but fall has been growing on me in a big way over the past few years.

A little look-see into our family room

Our family room is technically the dining room in our house. It's right off the kitchen (but so is the living room and our now dining room), and before the renovation, this room definitely had dining-room vibe. But now it's open and inviting, and just makes sense for us to use it as our cozy little space to watch netflix and curl up on the couch.
