Fourth of July a Few Ways
Fourth of July might be my all time favorite holiday. It’s smack dab in the middle of summer, people seem to feel extra festive and I love how New Englanders truly embrace everything red, white and blue once July rolls around. Throwing a summer-inspired soiree just seems to be half the fun of celebrating this oh-so-important day, so I teamed up with Nantucket Looms to create three different looks for this year’s Fourth - from a seaside chic soiree, to a backyard bash with hot dogs and sparklers to the perfect beach picnic - we’ve whipped up something for everyone!
First up is an easy yet elegant table where the menu is casual and meant to be devoured. I envision kids running around playing games in the yard and grabbing snacks with their cute little grubby hands in between. Beers being cracked at record pace and loads of laughter. It’s messy yet magical all at the same time (and thanks to all gorgeous Nantucket Looms pieces, it’s pretty too!)
Next up is a more elegant affair. Perhaps with a full dinner brought out course by course. The seaside elements keep it feeling cozy, but this is a dinner someone from the Real Housewives would throw when they tell you they are going to host a barbecue (sorry not sorry for my reference to Bravo here).
However you plan on celebrating, I wish you a happy and safe Fourth of July from our family to yours! xo, Abby
